** If you are new to pastels and would like to "try before you buy", the gallery will provide you with the pastels, acrylics and canvas board you will need to complete your painting
for a fee of $20 **

• PHOTO Reference: Please bring many of your favorite photos to paint from (Diana will help you choose). If you don't have a photo of your own, the instuctor will provide one for you.

•Basic set of acrylic paints, Lukas or Matisse (one or two of each color: blue, red, yellow, plus a green, white and whatever preferred colors you usually paint with)

•Set of SOFT pastels (no HARD pastels) in a variety of colors, Jerry's has Mungyo Pastels and Art Aspirer pastels as a good entry level brand. Diana also recommends Sennelier Pastels also available at Jerry's Artarama

• Canvas board no larger than 16 x 20

• Basic set of brushes

• Disposable paint palette

• Water container for acrylic paints brushes

• Latex gloves, if needed.

• Blenders, pastel sharpeners if you have one, but this is not necessary

• Pastel pencils for detail in your piece

• Paper towels
