ART CLASS SUPPLIES

Supplies for Lori Putnam's "En Plein Air" workshop

Portable FLOOR painting easel (or official "plein air" easel if you have one
• Wooden (or other neutral-toned) mixing palette (Do not use white, disposable palette pages.

Oil Paints (please pay particular attention to the brands listed):

• Cad Red Deep Hue (Winton #6)
• Ultramarine Blue (Winton #21)
• Cad Yellow Medium (Gamblin)
• Titanium White (Gamblin, Grumbacher, or other)

 Brushes:

• High quality, bristle brushes in sizes 4-10.  I suggest filberts, flats or a mixture of the two.

My preference is Silver Brush brand, series 1003 (filbert), 1001 (flat).

• Several styles of palette knives

 

Supports:

ForPlein Air several canvas (size between 8 x 10 and 12 x 16)

Other:

Small sketchpad and pencil

Sealable, non-breakable, spill-proof (clamp-lid) container for mineral spirits (such as the metal Anderson, Holbein, or Martin Universal)

Liquin (optional)

Odorless Mineral Spirits

Paper towels

Sense of humor
