• A portable floor easel -- Askew Taylor (in downtown Raleigh www.askewtaylor.com) carries an "Aluminum Heritage Easel" for $32.50. You can also find them at Michael's or AC Moore
• Oils, Acrylic, Water Soluble Oil (pastels OK too) in the following colors
- Alizarin Crimson
- Cadmium Red Light
- Cad Yellow Pale (no green hue)
- Ultramarine Blue
- White
- Cerulean
- Cad Yellow Medium
- Sap Green
• Canvas or Pintura Boards: 8x10, 9x12, 11x14, always bring several to class.
• A range of brushes (natural bristle for oils), for example size 2, 4, 6, & 8 square and filbert
• Plastic white, wood or paper palette (no paper plates or flimsy materials)
• For Oil: Odorless Turpenoid or Odorless Mineral Spirits
• A jar to hold your solvent or water painting medium
• Paper Towels
• Small plastic garbage bag (For outdoor plein air painting only, Nicole will email students in advance if you will be painting outside during nice weather)
Note: Hard (inexpensive) bristol brushes are preferable for Nicole's Plein Air classes opposed to soft sable.
