Wrightsville Red Heads started when a client brought in a 197os faded 2" x 2" photo probably from a "Brownie" camera. I immediately balked when she showed me the image and said she wanted a 24 x 30". However, I loved the body language of the children and basically talked myself into saying "yes". I knew I needed to make a beach trip to find the right spot and camera angle and re-create the view from the dunes to the water. The dunes and sky are all from different photos that I took. The client desired a typical blue sky beach day rather than overcast like the photo.
